Eye Clinic

The eye clinic was started as a result of a survey that reveales that within our community many people have eye pathologies like cataract, glaucoma, refractive errors and other eye problems.

The department has static and mobile clinics. Static clinics are done twice a week on Monday and Wednesday, while the mobile clinic visit periodically the villages in our catchement area within a radius of approximately 40 km.

Major surgical procedure are done by a non resident Doctor ophthalmologist while minor operations are done by a resident specialized Clinical Officer.

The eye care program include also a workshop where a technician make spectacles sold at promotional prices.
