Two wings with 10 beds and  two side wards with 2 beds each are allocated to this ward where the patients stay before and after the major surgical procedures.

In 2004 409 patients were admitted, accounting for 5,244 days of admission. The average length of stay was 13 days.

More than 70% of the admitted patients were coming from outside the hospital catchment area.
